CNC Operator – Custom Machine Shop – 2nd Shift (Mon-Thurs 4:00 pm-2:30 am)

What You’ll DoAs a CNC Operator, you’ll play a key role in bringing technical designs to life by:
- Interpreting technical drawings and blueprints to understand part geometry, features, and tolerances.
- Operating multiple CNC milling machine centers, many with the help of automation.
- Loading raw materials, securing work pieces, and changing tools for efficient and accurate machining.
- Inspecting and measuring finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
- Reviewing and understanding CMM reports to verify dimensional accuracy.
- Completing inspection and production reports to ensure documentation and workflow accuracy.
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.
Skills &
Qualifications:
- Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and CMM data.
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and more.
- Solid mechanical aptitude with a problem-solver mindset.
- Excellent communication skills—able to collaborate with programmers, quality inspectors, and fellow machinists.
- A proactive, self-driven work style with the ability to complete tasks with minimal direction.
- Experience operating multi-axis CNC machining centers is a strong plus.
- A supportive, skilled team that values quality and continuous improvement.
- Exposure to diverse, custom machining projects—never the same day twice.
