CNC Operator – Custom Machine Shop – 2nd Shift (Mon-Thurs 4:00 pm-2:30 am)

What You’ll Do

As a CNC Operator, you’ll play a key role in bringing technical designs to life by:

  • Interpreting technical drawings and blueprints to understand part geometry, features, and tolerances.
  • Operating multiple CNC milling machine centers, many with the help of automation.
  • Loading raw materials, securing work pieces, and changing tools for efficient and accurate machining.
  • Inspecting and measuring finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision tools.
  • Reviewing and understanding CMM reports to verify dimensional accuracy.
  • Completing inspection and production reports to ensure documentation and workflow accuracy.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area.
What We’re Looking For

Skills &

Qualifications:

  • Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and CMM data.
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and more.
  • Solid mechanical aptitude with a problem-solver mindset.
  • Excellent communication skills—able to collaborate with programmers, quality inspectors, and fellow machinists.
  • A proactive, self-driven work style with the ability to complete tasks with minimal direction.
  • Experience operating multi-axis CNC machining centers is a strong plus.
