Mid-Ohio Food Collective (MOFC) is looking for a Front Desk Specialist to support the daily operations of the reception area/front desk, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors.
Responsibilities- Greet and direct walk‑in and telephone visitors to appropriate MOFC areas or meeting rooms and provide non‑MOFC organizations with assistance while on premises.
- Sort and deliver MOFC mail; accept carrier deliveries and coordinate couriers.
- Process financial transactions for sales, agency payments, and donations by providing receipts, cash payments, credit card payments, and/or check payments.
- Update MOFC information on Volunteer Hub, organizational landing pages, and similar online resources.
- Maintain Volunteer Database for quality control purposes, and assist with reporting analytics.
- Update volunteer records including hours, personal information, and contact information.
- Create visual content for display screens in partnership with VS Team.
- Submit and track creative briefs and social briefs for Volunteer Services department.
- Assist with scheduling group volunteers and provide information regarding scheduling.
- Capture and curate volunteer photos across MOFC operating locations.
- Assist with Volunteer Services recognition and appreciation efforts.
- Conduct site tours and make general organization‑wide announcements.
- Conduct MOFC tours.
- Maintain and distribute the employee phone directory.
- Collect leads for volunteer stories and media opportunities.
- Advocate for volunteerism and the importance of the volunteer program within the organization.
Education and
Certifications:
High‑School Diploma or GED required.
Experience: One year of receptionist experience including use of a multi‑line phone system. Experience interacting with the public. Non‑profit experience preferred. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office products.
Skills/
Competencies:
Effective communication skills (verbal and written); organized and able to provide exceptional customer service. Comfortable learning and using new computer platforms.
Normal office environment.
