Production Manager
We are looking for 2 Area Managers, one for the front (Wax, Shell, Foundry) and one for the back (Prefin, Midfin, Xray, Finishing, Machine Shop, Heat Treat, FPI)
Salary Expectations- 120-140k
- 20% bonus
- Casting or machining (or general metal fabrication) experience is ideal but not required.
- Must have manufacturing supervision/leadership experience.
- Must have some applicable technical degree (BSME, BSIE, materials Science, etc.).
- Familiarity with Six Sigma/Lean Manufacturing is a plus.
- This role reports directly to the General Manager.
The Area Manager oversees operations within assigned manufacturing areas, ensuring adherence to established procedures and approved processes. This role is accountable for the safe and efficient production of company products across diverse manufacturing processes. The Area Manager ensures all quality, productivity, and cost objectives are met, while maintaining compliance with safety and operational standards. This position may oversee multiple shifts or departments, delegating responsibilities to Operations Supervisors and/or department leads as appropriate.
Compared to an Operations Supervisor, the Area Manager role encompasses a broader span of control and requires a higher level of expertise in manufacturing operations, process management, and leadership.
- Bachelors degree in business related curriculum or engineering curriculum or 5 to 7 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience and responsibility.
- Must have demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities and easily adapt to changing situations and priorities.
- Requires that the incumbent be highly organized, self‑motivated individual who can work independently as well as work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
- Must have demonstrated abilities to lead people and get results through others, with excellent verbal and written communication skills or the ability to develop the skills.
- Must be computer literate, particularly in spreadsheet; financial; inventory and production planning and tracking applications.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, execute and deliver results in conformance with action plans.
- May be required to complete annual hazardous waste training, handle hazardous waste, complete weekly inspections, or manage areas that generate or handle hazardous waste.
