Our work is mission‑critical, supporting the U.S. Navy and strengthening national security.

Quality Assurance Engineers (QAEs) specialize in improving processes and systems to ensure quality and efficiency within Electric Boat. As Electric Boat continues to execute on our Columbia and Virginia programs, members of this team will be key contributors to ensure their success. QAEs routinely work cross‑functionally with internal and external customers to ensure a quality product. This position will report to a Quality Assurance Engineering Supervisor in Groton.

Emergent issues may originate from any discipline, trade or supplier and will require a candidate to become familiar with new subjects and topics in an expedited manner.

Efforts will include assessing product and process performance to identify quality defects, being knowledgeable about Quality Specifications and ensuring products and processes comply with requirements, becoming proficient in causal analysis tools, implementing and maintaining systems that ensure adherence to quality standards, and working with various teams to achieve continuous improvement and prevent quality issues from recurring.
