A great client at UHY is seeking a Director of Accounting
. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting and financial analysis experience, CPA or CPA‑eligible credentials, and experience in real estate or franchise environments.
The Director of Accounting role is an onsite, client direct hire position.
Director of Accounting Responsibilities- Oversee all accounting and finance functions including financial reporting, analysis, and general ledger management
- Supervise a Senior Accountant and support HR‑related financial processes
- Manage month‑end and year‑end close and ensure accurate financial statements
- Support financial analysis, budgeting, and strategic decision‑making with leadership
- Assist with tax preparation by gathering documentation and coordinating with external partners
- Utilize Quick Books Online and Excel to manage financial data and reporting
- Help build structure and scalable processes in a growing, entrepreneurial environment
- Partner closely with ownership on financial operations across real estate and franchise business lines
- 5+ years of progressive accounting or finance experience
- CPA or CPA‑eligible strongly preferred
- Strong accounting, financial analysis, and reporting skills
- Experience with Quick Books Online preferred
- Real estate and/or franchise industry experience highly preferred
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with leadership
- Ability to thrive in a flexible, hands‑on, and growth‑oriented environment
