• Plans, develops and schedules course offerings and makes all necessary pre-arrangements for the program
• Coordinates the hiring of all summer school staff
• Plans and implements marketing of the program and coordinates the registration process
• Provides on-site supervision of the program
• Establishes the program budget and maintains appropriate financial records
• Maintains an accurate and balanced budget
• Reports student learning results to parents and schools at the conclusion of the program
• Evaluates the program and makes recommendations for improvements
• Ability to plan and implement a creative and organized summer program
• Ability to communicate effectively and generate community interest in the program
• Ability to work well with students, staff, and parents
• Must pass a criminal background check as required by School Safety Legislation

• Summer School Coordinators: Elementary Coordinator (K-4), Secondary Coordinator (5-12)

• Valid Michigan teaching certificate (Administrative experience preferred, but not required)
• Ability to plan and implement a creative and organized summer program

• Ability to work well with students, staff, and parents
• Must pass a criminal background check as required by School Safety Legislation
