We specialize in medical malpractice defense and are looking for someone with at least 3-4 years of experience as a legal secretary in an area such as personal injury, insurance defense or medical malpractice. The firm offers a very dynamic and diverse workplace and a generous benefit package. Responsibilities- Conducting comprehensive legal research and case analysis to support attorneys in case preparation.
- Managing case files effectively, ensuring all relevant information and documents are properly organized and easily accessible.
- Drafting and proofreading legal documents, correspondence, and reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable legal formats and regulations.
- Maintaining a high level of confidentiality in all interactions and communications.
- Liaising with clients, court officials, and other legal professionals in a professional and courteous manner.
- Coordinating and scheduling meetings, depositions, hearings, and other appointments for attorneys.
- Assisting in the preparation of legal arguments, applications, declarations, and motions.
- Nurturing client relationships, ensuring their needs are met, and their concerns are addressed promptly and professionally.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Legal Secretary or a similar role in the legal industry.
- Proficiency in legal research and case management tools.
- Excellent knowledge of legal terminologies, regulations, court procedures, and the legal system.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
- High level of professionalism and discretion, with the ability to handle confidential information sensitively and responsibly.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while maintaining a high standard of work.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and legal software.
- Paralegal certification or a degree in law, or a related field, would be an added advantage.
