Hospital Housekeeper - Housekeeping - Grinnell - 2nd Shift

Overview

SHIFT: 4:00 pm to 12:30 am, rotating days/weekends/holidays

The Housekeeper is responsible for helping to maintain a clean and hygienic environment by performing scheduled cleaning and responding to emergency spills. The role complies with Medicare, Medicaid, and infection control standards, completes required training, and adheres to vaccination protocols. The role helps to promote services through professional customer interactions, enhancing patient safety and hospital operations at UPH.

Performs a variety of housekeeping duties that may include dusting, washing, and disinfection of furniture, fixtures and equipment; sweeping and mopping floors; vacuuming floors; gathering and disposing of refuse; arranging furniture; and performing similar tasks.

Experience:

• Previous housekeeping experience preferred

License(s)/Certification(s):

• Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

• Must be able to read, write, and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Must have good communication skills to work with other team members and promote customer relations.
