Fleet & Compliance Manager - Grimsby

We are seeking an experienced Fleet & Compliance Manager to oversee vehicle compliance, safety standards, and fleet performance across a high‑volume, temperature‑controlled logistics operation. You will play a critical role in ensuring all transport activities are safe, efficient, and fully compliant with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure full compliance with transport legislation, including O‑Licence undertakings, DVSA requirements, vehicle maintenance standards, and Working Time Directive regulations.
Oversee fleet maintenance schedules, vehicle availability, and cost efficiency.
Work closely with workshops, suppliers, and operational teams to maintain vehicle reliability and uptime.
Lead compliance audits across sites, implementing corrective actions and driving continuous improvement.
Manage incident investigations, root-cause analysis, and follow-up actions.
Monitor tachograph data, driver behaviours, defect reporting, and safety performance.
Provide guidance and support to Transport Managers, ensuring consistent compliance across all sites.
Produce accurate compliance reports, KPIs, and fleet performance insights for senior leadership.

About You

Strong background in fleet management and transport compliance, ideally within logistics or temperature‑controlled operations.
Excellent knowledge of DVSA standards, transport legislation, and safety requirements.
Confident communicator able to influence and support multi-site teams.
Highly organised with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
