As a Criminal Justice Recovery Worker, you’ll play a vital part in supporting individuals who have been arrested for drug or alcohol-related offences. Working flexibly across the area, you will:

• Engage people directly in the custody suite, delivering brief interventions and encouraging them into treatment
• Lead on Out of Court Disposals, delivering between one and six structured sessions (including group and online sessions) designed to prevent escalation in substance use and offending
• Work closely with an Advanced Practitioner, fellow Recovery Workers, administrators, Police colleagues, and Liaison & Diversion teams
• Build strong, supportive relationships with clients to help them access the right support at the right time

• A confident and effective communicator
• Highly organized, efficient, and able to manage a varied caseload
• Engaging, enthusiastic, and passionate about supporting people to change
• Interested in the Criminal Justice System and motivated to work with offenders in a positive, non-judgemental way
• Able to work flexibly, including some evenings and weekends

A full driving licence and access to a car are essential, as is the ability to obtain Police clearance.
