What You'll Be Doing
As a Senior Social Worker in the Children's Disability Service, every day brings an opportunity to make a real difference. Your work will include:
Leading statutory Child & Family Assessments (CA 89)
Supporting children and families under the Chronically Sick and Disabled Act
Managing care plans for Children in Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children
Chairing and contributing to safeguarding meetings
Assessing risk and coordinating interventions for children with complex needs
Delivering transition plans for adolescents moving into adulthood
Undertaking court work when needed
Engaging meaningfully with children and adolescents, including those who are non-verbal or have communication challenges
