Summary
To work with the Business Unit General Manager and cross-functional experts to design and deliver plans that achieve all manufacturing and product quality targets within budget across your defined sub‑factory.
The RoleProactively support the safe manufacture of goods, taking accountability for raw materials, labour, equipment, maintenance, and the safe operation of your assigned area. Act as a key link between departments, leveraging Production and Packaging expertise to deliver agreed food safety, people safety, site safety, maintenance priorities, and innovation projects.
YourKey Responsibilities
- Exercise diligence and independent judgement to promote transparent, values‑led and professional management of your shift
- Act as a professional and trusted advisor to the General Manager on all production, packing, and distribution matters relating to your assigned shift
- Utilise organisational and local management information (MI) to identify and prioritise production and packing agendas that achieve financial and operational goals, ensuring MI is consistent, honest, open, and routinely reviewed
- Engage constructively and coordinate with broader teams (including other sites and HSE departments) to support delivery of shift goals
- Apply financial rigour to all production activity to ensure value for money across the shift
- Level 3 Food Hygiene (or equivalent)
- Intermediate HACCP (or equivalent)
- 3+ years’ Production and Packing leadership experience within FMCG environments, with exposure to M&S audit standards and maintaining an “audit ready” operation
- Experience working in chilled and frozen environments, including meals production, coated fish products, and white fish processing
- Strong knowledge of fish products and coated processing within production and packing
- Confident in presenting, communicating, and negotiating with professional peer groups
- Proven ability to deliver objectives and key performance measures
- Ability to lead Production and Packing elements of audits and support delegated managers to do the same
- Experience working in a matrix structure, drawing on external expertise to achieve local goals
- Ability to manage priorities and projects across a multi‑site and multi‑function organisation
- Personal commitment to role modelling positive leadership behaviours
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
