Multi Skilled Operative

Overview

Location: Stallingborough, Grimsby - DN41 area
Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour

We are currently seeking a reliable and experienced Multi Skilled Operative to join our site in Stallingborough, Grimsby. This is a hands-on role within a busy waste/recycling environment, ideal for candidates with strong plant operation experience and a commitment to health and safety.

• 6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

• 12-hour shifts

• 1-hour unpaid lunch break

• 4 days per week

• No weekends

• Overtime: Occasionally available (may include a 5th working day)

• Safely operate site plant including 360 material handlers (with grab attachments),
  wheeled loading shovels
  , and potentially other machinery

• Load vehicles, feed shredders, and manage stockpiles efficiently

• Sort waste, scrap metal, or aggregates to remove non-conforming materials and maintain quality control

• Carry out daily pre-start safety and maintenance checks (oil, water, hydraulics, cleaning, greasing)

• Maintain a clean and organised yard or tipping hall

• Adhere strictly to all health & safety regulations and report any faults or near misses

• Valid CPCS or NPORS licences for:

  • 360 Excavator

  • Wheeled Loading Shovel

  • FLT

• Previous experience in waste transfer, recycling, or scrap metal environments (highly desirable)

• Strong spatial awareness and ability to work independently

• Reliable, safety-conscious, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment

• Competitive hourly rate of £15.00 per hour
