Job Summary
The Estates department at the Diana Princess of Wales Hospital, Grimsby has an exciting opportunity for an individual to join the onsite maintenance team.
The Estates team is a support service vital to the smooth running of the hospital, working behind the scenes to keep the hospital operational. The environment is diverse and the equipment highly specialised to healthcare, providing a rewarding experience of contributing to a positive patient environment.
ResponsibilitiesThe role is diverse, with work including complex water systems, specialised heating, refrigeration & ventilation systems, drainage and waste systems, and assisting skilled maintenance crafts in specialised plant and equipment areas.
An Maintenance Craftsperson Assistant supports the wider maintenance team in delivering maintenance programmes that contribute to a safe, cost‑effective, efficient and compliant hospital site.
The post holder will undertake maintenance and repairs of Trust properties, equipment, grounds & gardens, ensuring statutory compliance and a clean, safe, functional environment for patients, public and staff. The role also includes a significant safety function during winter, providing on‑call support overnight and at weekends for de‑icing and snow clearing.
