Site Engineer – Major Car Park Depot (Grimsby)

Location: Grimsby, DN31 1LY

Salary: £65000 - £75000

Duration: Perm

Project Value: £40 million – Major car park depot for a commercial fleet

Are you an experienced Site Engineer with strong heavy civils and groundworks experience? This is your chance to take on one of the largest car park depot developments in the UK. The Grimsby project is nothing more than a car park – but it’s one of the biggest ever built. The £40M scheme is for a commercial fleet and involves heavy earthworks, deep groundworks, a huge posi-drain system, full tarmac surfacing, hard landscaping, and areas of greenery.

You’ll join a well-structured main contractor with a reputation for delivering complex civils and industrial projects safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

Our client is an established UK main contractor with a proven track record in the industrial, logistics, and infrastructure sectors. They are known for their collaborative approach, strong technical expertise, and ability to deliver large-scale projects on time, within budget, and to exceptional quality standards.

• Setting out, surveying, and carrying out QA checks across all civils and groundworks packages
• Ensuring all works meet design specifications, drawings, and safety standards
• Coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and designers
• Producing accurate reports, maintaining records, and monitoring progress
• Supporting safe, efficient site delivery from earthworks through to final surfacing and landscaping

• Proven experience as a Site Engineer on heavy civils, infrastructure, or industrial projects
• Strong setting out and QA background
• Proficient with Total Station and AutoCAD
• Relevant qualification (Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or related field)
• CSCS card essential
• Candidates must be based within 50 miles of Grimsby – applications from outside this area will not be considered
