Full time, fixed term – start as soon as possible.
Salary: £17,510 in year 1, increasing annually with internal pay scales and national minimum wage.

RWE Renewables offers a 3‑year apprenticeship to develop into a Wind Turbine Technician. The first two years are classroom-based at Coleg Llandrillo; the third year is on‑site training at Triton Knoll Offshore Windfarm.
About the roleLearn and practice wind turbine maintenance, including scheduled, unscheduled, preventive and troubleshooting tasks. Completion earns an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Wind Turbine Operations and Maintenance and a Level 3 Diploma in Wind Turbine Maintenance.
Responsibilities- Electro‑mechanical problem solving on wind turbines, often working at height in remote locations.
- Operate advanced mechanical, hydraulic and electrical equipment safely.
- Plan tools, spares and materials for each job.
- Fault find and diagnose main component condition to determine repair feasibility.
- Ongoing personal development to become a multi‑skilled technician covering inspection, maintenance and repair.
You should be keen to learn, willing to undertake a practical role, and capable of standby or on‑call duties.
Part of a team providing services from the Service Operation Vessel (SOV) on a 14 days on/14 days off rotation.
Job requirements and experience- 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade 4/C or above, including Science, Maths and English.
- Willingness to learn and develop.
- Able to work at height and at sea.
- Willing to work shifts, staying up to 2 weeks on an SOV.

Term‑time accommodation in Chester, with rent and utilities paid by RWE. Travel expenses for two journeys per month between Grimsby and the term‑time address are covered. Daily commute to college during term time is paid unless group travel is provided.
