Simply Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Grimsby to recruit a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to cover a maternity leave from April until July 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Key Stage 1 teacher who is committed to delivering engaging lessons and ensuring pupils continue to thrive during this important stage of their education.

The Role:

Full-time Year 2 class teacher
Maternity cover from April to July 2026
Full teaching responsibilities including planning, preparation, and marking
Delivering high-quality lessons in line with the KS1 curriculum
Assessing, tracking, and supporting pupil progress
Working collaboratively with the wider school team and parents

The Ideal Candidate Will:

Hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
Have experience teaching in Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2
Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills
Be confident with assessment frameworks relevant to Year 2
Be organised, proactive, and committed to maintaining high standards
