Salary: £13 - £20 per hour (£18,000 - £30,000 per annum)
Location: Various FE locations across the North
Job Type: Temporary and Permanent positions available
Working Hours: Part‑time and Full‑time positions available
Role SummaryWe are looking for experienced and resilient Learning Support Assistant / Pastoral Support to work with young people undertaking vocational study programmes. Join the UK's leading Further Education recruiter and support learners at Colleges across the North.
Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities- Provide dedicated support to students with additional learning needs, ensuring they can access and engage with the curriculum effectively.
- Assist in the development and delivery of personalised support plans, working closely with teaching staff and the pastoral team.
- Support students’ emotional wellbeing, behaviour, and social development through one‑to‑one and small group interventions.
- Experience working with young people in an educational or support setting.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Ideally a relevant qualification in education, support work, or youth work (e.g., Level 2/3 Supporting Teaching and Learning, Youth Work or equivalent).
