about the rolejoin our team as an employability and skills tutor – functional skills & esol. Are you passionate about helping people unlock their potential? We’re looking for a dynamic employability and skills tutor to deliver high‑quality teaching and support across primarily functional skills english, esol programmes and employability.
what you’ll do- inspire and engage learners in classroom, online, and workplace settings.
- deliver tailored lessons that build confidence with practical and functional skills for employment.
- support learners through enrolment, initial assessment, and progress reviews.
- use innovative teaching methods and digital tools to create an outstanding learning experience.
- work closely with employers and stakeholders to help learners progress into work or further education.
- maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with quality standards.
- qualified teacher/trainer (level 3 or above) certificate with experience in functional skills and esol.
- strong communication and organisational skills.
- ability to motivate and support learners from diverse backgrounds.
- a proactive approach to continuous professional development.
- commitment to safeguarding, equality, and high‑quality education.
- all posts are subject to an enhanced disclosure clearance through the dbs, references that cover the last two years of employment and online screening. Other checks may also be required.
- please note that all employees must have literacy and numeracy to at least level 2.
