Mechanical Estimator

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Griffith, IN, for a Mechanical Estimator. The Mechanical Estimator will be responsible for analyzing project specifications and drawings to prepare cost estimates for mechanical systems. This includes evaluating labor, materials, and timelines; liaising with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing; preparing proposals and bid submissions; and collaborating with project managers and engineers to ensure the accuracy of cost estimates and adherence to project requirements.

• Proficiency in reading and understanding blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills for creating accurate and competitive estimates
• Knowledge of mechanical systems and heating equipment and ability to estimate related project requirements
• Proficiency in using estimation software, spreadsheets, and other relevant tools
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate with team members, contractors, and clients
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively
• Previous experience in mechanical estimating or a related construction field preferred but not a must
