Join Caterpillar as a Production manager in our Griffin, GA facility. We are looking for strong leaders with sound judgment and mature decision-making capabilities who can develop and train employees to build a cohesive team. Candidates should understand and demonstrate the principles of training, working safely, collaborating, and developing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The production manager will oversee and coordinate the activities of a more complex production line, prepare schedules, resolve issues, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.

What You Will Do

• Creating reports and records of production processes, tool issues, performance, and inventory; sharing them with managers and providing suggestions to improve safety, productivity and quality.
• Preparing, maintaining, and updating documentation related to operating procedures and safety and quality standards; ensuring all processes and products meet desired safety and quality standards.
• Supervising and directing the daily activities of production line workers, assigning tasks, ensuring coordination between different teams, ensuring their safety and monitoring their performance.
• Training new hires, managing scheduling and work conflicts, monitoring safety, and promoting internal communication to create a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

• Data Gathering & Analysis:
  Ability to collect and synthesize data from various stakeholders and sources to reach conclusions objectively.

  Ability to determine root causes and create alternative solutions.
• Decision Making and Critical Thinking:
  Ability to analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.

  Ability to plan and organize time and resources methodically.

  Ability to transmit and interpret ideas and information effectively.
• Accuracy and Attention to Detail:
  Ability to complete tasks with high precision.
