The
** Senior Electrical Design Engineer
** will be responsible for data center customer backup power communication interfacing and Building Management System (BMS) remote monitoring integration.

** Responsibilities*
* • Researching new materials and competitive products. Organizing, coordinating, and executing the building, testing, and analysis of prototypes.  
• Assisting supply specialists and buyers with supplier development and supplier performance. Overseeing the efforts of drafting and testing specialists.  
• Developing and documenting functional requirements and translating into detail design documents. Participating in buy-build analysis for product components.  
• Participating in and supporting proposal preparation, cost estimates, and technical reports.

** Minimum bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science preferred
** Technical Excellence:*
* ** Knowledge of control systems communication and application*

Experience:

* • Experience with RS-485, J1939, and ethernet communication networks  
• MODBUS, CAN, and TCP/IP communication protocol application experience  
• Diesel genset applications experience preferred  
• Extensive knowledge of test procedures and test equipment
• Advises others on the assessment and provision of all technical solutions.  
• Engages appropriate subject matter resources to effectively resolve technical issues.  
• Provides effective solutions to moderate technical challenges through strong technical competence, effectively examining implications of events and issues.
