Job DescriptionThe following general description applies to all hourly store team members. Please read the detailed information listed below.
Job Duties- Operate all equipment.
- Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area and walk‑in cooler.
- Prepare product.
- Receive and process telephone orders.
- Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
- Clean equipment and facility approximately daily.
- Complete training and orientation provided on the job.
- Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
- Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
- Perform basic mathematics accurately and quickly (may use calculator).
- Make correct monetary change.
- Use verbal, written and telephone skills to take and process orders.
- Use motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for rapid, accurate movements; use computer keyboard or touch screen to enter orders.
Exposure to varying weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks; in‑store temperatures range from 36 °F in cooler to over 90 °F in some work areas; sudden changes in temperature; fumes from food odors; exposure to cornmeal dust; cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler; hot surfaces/tools from oven up to 500 °F; sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Sensing: talking and hearing on telephone; near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks; depth perception; ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Temperaments: perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, manage stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgements and decisions.
Physical Demands:
Standing, walking, sitting, lifting, carrying, pushing, climbing, stooping/bending, crouching/squatting; lifting up to 50 pounds, carrying large cans, moving trays, using dollies, navigating stairs or ladders, bending and reaching up to 72 in. while working.
Reaching performed continuously; hand tasks require eye‑hand coordination; machinery, tools, equipment and work aids include pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, peel, etc.
