As an HVAC Technician III - Industrial at JLL, you will serve as a highly skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning technician specializing in industrial settings with advanced expertise in complex and large-scale HVAC systems found in manufacturing plants, power plants, and other industrial facilities. This role represents a level 3 technician within the industrial HVAC field requiring capabilities in advanced troubleshooting, maintenance, and repairs on intricate equipment like large air handling units, chillers, boilers, and complex building automation systems.
You'll possess deep understanding of industrial HVAC systems including complex controls, piping systems, and refrigerant management while performing extensive preventative maintenance and managing larger installation and upgrade projects that reflect JLL's commitment to operational excellence and industrial facility management.
- Diagnose and repair complex industrial HVAC equipment including chillers, boilers, and large air handlers with comprehensive technical expertise
- Perform advanced troubleshooting of intricate problems with industrial HVAC systems involving multiple components and complex interactions
- Execute repairs on sophisticated equipment requiring specialized knowledge of industrial-grade systems and components
- Work with building automation systems and controls to optimize performance and resolve system integration issues
- Perform extensive preventative maintenance checks and inspections on industrial HVAC systems to identify potential issues before they become major problems
- Conduct systematic evaluations of system performance and efficiency metrics
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for complex industrial equipment
- Document maintenance activities and system performance data for trend analysis and optimization
- Interpret blueprints and schematics to understand system layouts and components for effective troubleshooting and maintenance
- Analyze system performance data and recommend improvements for enhanced efficiency and reliability
- Maintain detailed documentation of repairs, maintenance activities, and system modifications
- Provide technical reports and recommendations to management and engineering teams
- Manage larger projects including installation of new equipment, system upgrades, and modifications
- Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and internal teams for successful project completion
- Oversee equipment commissioning and startup procedures for new installations
- Ensure projects are completed within budget, timeline, and quality specifications
- Respond to emergency service calls for industrial HVAC issues with rapid and effective problem resolution
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and regulations due to potential hazards in industrial settings
- Implement lockout/tagout procedures and other safety measures during maintenance and repair activities
- Maintain current knowledge of safety regulations and industry best practices
- High school diploma or equivalent with completion of HVAC technical training program
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in industrial HVAC systems with progressive skill development
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Handling Certification required
