About the Role

As an Appliance Repair Technician, you will provide professional in-home appliance repair services. You’ll enjoy meeting new people each day, solving problems, and delivering an excellent customer experience. If you are mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and committed to growth, this position is for you.

• Diagnose, repair, and service appliances
• Order and replace necessary parts
• Manage daily schedule as dispatched by our CSR team
• Care for the company vehicle and assigned equipment: report maintenance needs or issues; maintain and clean tools
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members
• Provide professional and friendly customer service at every appointment

• High School diploma (or higher) required
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Whirlpool-trained technicians are a plus (not required)
• Mechanical knowledge and hands-on repair experience preferred
• Ability to pass a federal background check and drug test (required by Whirlpool)
• Strong communication skills, reliability, and professionalism

As an appliance repair technician, you’ll work with appliances ranging from dishwashers to microwaves to dryers, and you’ll need to be knowledgeable about large and portable appliances, mechanical work, and electrical work. You’ll deal with people as well as appliances, and you’ll need high mechanical aptitude, strong written and verbal communication, proficiency with repair tools, ability to lift heavy machinery, and solid troubleshooting skills.
