HVAC Technician

Talascend is currently seeking a HVAC Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Greer, South Carolina
.

The role involves maintaining and repairing various mechanical equipment, troubleshooting customer service calls for temperature comfort, and ensuring the accuracy of system documentation.

• Maintaining and repairing air handling units, exhaust fans, fume hoods, fan coil units, reheat coils, and other associated mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshooting customer service calls for temperature comfort inside our buildings.
• Maintaining accuracy of system documentation and limited support of new installation projects may be required.
• Complete Hazard Assessments as necessary.

• Vocation degree program with technical courses related to the field, preferred
• Minimum 3 years field experience with trade school training - or 6 years total field experience.

• HVAC license
• EPA certification
• Driver license
• Must have good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Good general computer skills with knowledge in E-mail, Internet.
• Microsoft Word is a plus for this position.
• Ability to effectively use computers and computer programs (including use of Microsoft Office Suite).
• Skill in use of the internet to navigate to and use web based applications.
• Ability to use handheld electronic devices (PDA, Blackberry, cell phone, etc.).
• Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Ability to bend, sit, kneel, squat, stand, reach, climb ladders and lay as required to access equipment components for extended periods of time.
• Ability to work exposed to heat, sunlight, rain, cold, daylight, and nighttime hours as required.

Sunday - Thursday 6am - 2:30pm
