Primary responsibility is to take excellent care of our customers by satisfying each customer's needs and exceeding their expectations. This requires a defined level of product knowledge, food preparation skills, sales ability, customer relations skills, and cooperation with fellow associates to create an incredible place to work and shop. Responsible for processing/packaging/stocking products according to grocery standards, cleaning work areas, providing customer service unloading stock, and reloading salvage.

• At least 18 years of age.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training and to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos [in English]; write simple correspondence [in English]; effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, vendors, and other associates who only speak English.
• Mathematical skills: add and subtract two digit numbers, perform operations using units of American money and weight measurement.
• Reasoning ability: apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uncomplicated written or oral instructions; deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
• Complete company’s training including New Hire Orientation, Customer Service Network, Safety, and Product Knowledge.

Regularly required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear; and taste or smell. Occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch. Must regularly lift and/or move up to 60 pounds and reach from 6–72 inches. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, color, and depth perception.

The work environment contains wet, hot, or cold conditions and moving mechanical parts. The associate is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals. Noise level is usually moderate.
