Position: Quality Engineer
Job Summary
We're currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and quality of our products and procedures through rigorous inspections, implementation of quality control measures, and identification of areas for improvement. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality issues, drive continuous improvement, and contribute to building high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.

Responsibilities
- Ensure a high level of internal and external customer service. Investigate (and correct) customer issues and complaints relating to quality.
- Supervise workers engaged in inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity.
- Develop and analyze statistical data and product specifications to determine standards and to establish quality and reliability expectancy of finished products.
- Provide technical and statistical expertise to teams.
- Formulate, document and maintain quality control standards and on-going quality control objectives.
- Maintain and enhance the company's performance relative to its quality certifications.
- Create, document and implement inspection criteria and procedures.
- Interpret quality control philosophy to key personnel within company.
- Provide, and oversee, inspection activity for products throughout production cycle.
- Apply total quality management tools and approaches to analytical and reporting processes.
- Access the customer's websites to manage information such as performance results and their specific requirements.
- Have the commitment to direct and support people, to contribute to the effectiveness of the administration / quality management system.
- Inform the management of the operation of the Quality System.
- Ensure that the requirements of the Quality System are established, implemented in accordance with the standards.
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor's degree in quality engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical engineering or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a quality supervisor position; preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Working knowledge of ISO-9000 and IATF standards.
- Skilled in the use of Core Tools (PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA)
- Relevant experience may be substituted for all or a portion of the education requirement at the discretion of the hiring manager.
- Position may require periods of intense physical exertion in conditions of low to high temperatures and humidity.
- Position requires the ability to stand, bend, and stretch over extended periods of time during a normal work shift.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
