Job Description

Green Wood, Inc. is actively recruiting for our Millwright Foreman position. We are looking for applicants for a Regular Full‑Time, Non‑Exempt role at the Mitsubishi site in Greer, SC. Employees normally work Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am‑5:30 pm, 40 hours per week with occasional overtime as needed. The position requires no travel. Green Wood does not offer per diem at this site.

The Millwright Foreman leads, directs, plans, and manages site operations with accountability for production, maintenance, quality, and the efficient and effective installation of machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and drawings in an industrial environment to ensure delivery of a work product that meets or exceeds the customer’s expectations.

• Directs and manages daily operations for production, maintenance, quality, and installation of machinery and equipment.
• Coordinates site activities through planning to achieve manufacturing and production objectives in a timely and cost‑effective manner.
• Establishes and monitors employee performance for production and quality.
• Maintains existing site facilities and equipment; replaces and adjusts site facilities and equipment when necessary.
• Consults with upper management to establish production and/or quality standards, develop controls, and obtain required data from key operational activities.
• Provides direction, development, and leadership to employees.
• Leads problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements, strengthen working relationships, and exceed customer expectations.
• Implements company policies and procedures.
• Ensures compliance with company policies and safety regulations.
• Monitors and measures team performance against company goals and objectives using established metrics.
• Provides leadership and direction for employees through effective communication, mentoring, coaching, training, and development.
• Resolves employee issues using problem‑resolution techniques.
• Installs machinery and equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings in an industrial environment, using hoists, lift trucks, hand tools, and power tools.
• Reads blueprints and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
• Ensures all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed before, during, and after work activities to foster a positive safety culture.
• Green Wood has designated this as a safety‑sensitive position.

• Plans and conducts meetings with subordinates to ensure compliance with established practices, to implement new policies, and keep employees abreast of current changes and standards.
• Initiates various personnel actions including, but not limited to, hiring, performance appraisals, promotions, transfers, vacation schedules, and training of new employees.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in industry.
