Responsibilities
- Adhere to all health and safety policies/procedures, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) and wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE) while in the warehouse or production areas (including but not limited to hairnets/beard nets, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard toe and slip/oil resistant shoes, appropriate safety gloves, and seatbelts while operating forklifts).
- Responsible for adhering to food quality and food safety as per the standard(s) provided by corporate, customer, and/or governing bodies (ex. SQF).
- Possesses a practical understanding of SQF and HACCP and can address inquiries related to both.
- Ability to read, comprehend, and adhere to a production manufacturing schedule, effectively communicate issues or deviations with the appropriate parties and respond to inquiries.
- Equipment Operation:
Setting up, running, and adjusting production lines. - Provides training and cross training in areas of machine operation, production changeovers, and autonomous Clean, Inspect, and Lubricate (CIL) activities for equipment and materials in a food production/packaging environment.
- Ensure the completion of the daily, weekly, and monthly CIL’s.
- Monitoring & Data Analysis:
Reading gauges, collecting data, recording results, and reporting findings. - Maintenance & Troubleshooting:
Performing routine checks, preventative maintenance, minor repairs, scheduled lubrication, and diagnosing/escalating technical faults. - Process Improvement:
Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, productivity, and quality. - Responsible for performing equipment and general sanitation in your work area or as assigned by leadership.
- Work closely with all departments to improve quality, increase efficiency, and reduce waste.
- Communicate to the Training Coordinator any update needed to the SOP’s.
- Ability to accurately identify raw material defects that could impact production quality, reduce efficiencies, and increase waste.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities, including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation, as requested.
- Utilize approved tools and basic spare parts as authorized for operator-level maintenance activities.
- Verify equipment setup, line clearance, and operational readiness following changeovers or maintenance activities prior to startup.
- Document completed inspections, PMs, adjustments, and identified issues using required logs, checklists, or maintenance systems.
- Ability to understand visual and auditory cues to identify production or machine related issues.
- Assist maintenance in investigating and diagnose production problems in a timely manner.
- Perform minor machine maintenance as well as daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance.
- Perform any other duties assigned by leadership including but not limited to cross training, general and plant sanitation, inventory management, training, etc.
- Experience in high-speed food/beverage manufacturing preferred.
- Demonstrated training experience in a production environment combined with strong project management skills.
- Understand continuous improvement and lean manufacturing.
- Strong team player able to work across multiple functions.
- Experience working with basic hand and portable power tools.
- Ability to analyze and solve problems, results oriented.

3-5 years• 3-5 years’ experience in high-speed manufacturing environment.
• 1-3 years in a lead role.
