The Material Handler duties include, but are not limited to, shipping, receiving, cycle counting, picking, packing, and checking materials in a climate-controlled warehouse. This role requires attention to detail and the ability to notice small differences in item numbers.

Responsibilities:

Adhere to safety, OSHA guidelines, work rules, and policies; maintain cleanliness inside and outside the facility.

Be present, dependable, punctual, and adhere to the schedule set by the Manager.

Support and follow VCC Core Values.

Use a computer to print labels and investigate discrepancies in the WMS.

Conduct basic inspection, labeling, and wrapping of materials with the quality assurance department.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Receiving:

Receive product deliveries.

Unload shipping containers.

Scan and stock products accurately and promptly.

Use handheld scanners.

Picking:

Maintain picking accuracy and standard.

Communicate issues with work orders.

Cycle Counting:

Complete cycle counts, inventories, audits, and reconciliations.

Research and resolve inventory discrepancies.

Checking:

Evaluate shipping materials against pick tickets.

Label and tag boxes for shipment.

Packing:

Pack items efficiently within time standards.

Operate packing machines and equipment.

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent.

6 months to 1 year of warehouse or related experience.

Ability to read, write, and speak English.

Operate manual pallet jacks and handheld scanners.

Work well in a team and manage time effectively under deadlines.

Follow directions and communicate clearly in English.

Self-motivated with minimal supervision.

Hours:

Typically Monday through Friday, with possible flexible hours, including before or after scheduled times and weekends.
