- Climbing:
Ascending and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, or ramps. - Clothing PPE:
Ability to wear personal protective gear (which may include, but is not limited to, composite toe shoes, gloves, headwear, face masks, hearing protection, fall protection, high visibility clothing, and/or safety glasses). - Dexterity:
Use hands to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment; dexterity to pick and place items that require high dexterity; ability to manipulate objects of various sizes and weights. - Hearing:
Ability to hear alarms or signaling and to understand speech in person or over communications devices. - Lifting:
Able to lift 20 to 50 lbs repetitively and carry up to 25 lbs. - Physical activity:
Light to moderate activity in a production/technical environment. - Operating equipment requiring hand-eye coordination and good manual dexterity.
- Operating heavy equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks as required for warehouse work.
- Positioning:
Ability to stay in a stationary position for extended periods; bending, stooping, kneeling, crawling, and crouching; twisting at the waist. - Pushing or pulling objects up to 25 pounds; reaching overhead and at shoulder level; repetitive motions such as scanning, packing, and loading.
- Vision:
Distance, color, depth, and peripheral vision as required for safety and productivity.
The Role
How you will contribute:
This work is performed in a fast-paced traditional warehousing environment. An Operator is responsible for picking automotive parts according to customer orders and placing those parts in designated work areas.
- Read customer orders, work orders, shipping orders, and documents to determine items to be moved, gathered, distributed and/or shipped.
- Move items from bulk containers or racks, shelves, or in bins according to a predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.
- Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials or other stock items and places them in designated areas.
- Scans materials and moves them according to standard work instructions where applicable.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Self-motivated and reliable.
- Perform pick and pack motions over 8-12-hour shifts.
- Must be able to lift up to 40lbs.
- Able to work with a diverse group of people and be a team player.
- Ability to perform multiple jobs in the warehouse.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
- 1st shift: 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- 2nd shift: 6:00 PM – 4:30 AM
These shift schedules are subject to change depending on the customer workload.
