TitleElectronics and Instrumentation Technician
Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Electronics and Instrumentation Technician to join our manufacturing team. Candidates must have good troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work and communicate efficiently and safely. Technicians will work and interface with the maintenance team, operators, engineers, and mechanics, and must be willing to take ownership of the assigned asset, equipment, or area.
Hourly Rate: $28.85 - $31.00
Reports To: E & I Supervisor
Primary Responsibilities- Troubleshoot, maintain, upgrade, repair, and perform predictive and preventive maintenance on production-process equipment, instrumentation, and electrical systems to ensure a quality product.
- Basic operation of DC & AC circuits
- Basic operation of 3‑phase AC power
- DC/AC motor theory
- DC/AC drive theory
- Function and operation of fuses and circuit breakers
- Electrical relay logic circuits
- Operation of PLC’s
- Temperature, pressure, and flow control loops
- How to read and interpret electrical drawings and instrument loop sheets
- How to read, interpret, and troubleshoot PLC programs
- How to use basic hand tools (including Volt‑Ohm meters)
- Maintain area housekeeping to ensure a safe workplace
- Interact with other technicians to share maintenance knowledge on similar equipment or related maintenance problems
- Associate degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, Industrial Engineering Technology, or an equivalent Technical College Curriculum; or equivalent training obtained via the Military
- Prior applicable industrial maintenance experience (minimum 2 years)
- Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Good troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills
- Willingness to work rotating 4 days on – 4 days off shift or Monday‑Friday day shift
- Willingness to work overtime and emergency call‑in work as needed
The hourly range for this position is $28.85 – $31.00. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s work experience, education/training, job‑related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if authorization is granted to work outside the location listed in the posting.
