Preschool Afternoon Teacher​/Closer

Calvary Christian Preschool is a faith-based center that is a part of Calvary Christian School. We are a ministry of Calvary Baptist Church. We place a high priority on promoting literacy, teaching social-emotional skills, building character, and demonstrating Christ’s love through word and action. Because families are the child’s first and most important educator, we strive to partner with families as we invest in the lives of children.

We are seeking an afternoon teacher/closer for our aftercare hours who can work from 2:15-5:15 Monday - Friday. This is a year-round position. We are looking for someone who is professional, hardworking, creative, energetic, compassionate, goal oriented, and passionate about making a lasting impact on today’s children.

• Organize and implement age-appropriate activities.
• Create a positive atmosphere.
• Maintain cleanliness of classrooms.
• Ensure a safe structured learning environment.
• Maintain accurate tracking of children following DSS ratios.
• Complete ongoing training each year in order to meet all requirements for DSS.

• Must be at least 18 years old and have a High School Diploma.
• Ability to use technology in order to communicate with parents/other staff and log children in/out or transfer between classrooms.
• Must be a professing Christian with a Biblically sound salvation experience that is clearly communicated and be active in a local Bible-believing church.
• Must exhibit a Christ-like servant attitude.
• Maintain a personal appearance that is a Christian role model of cleanliness, modesty, and in agreement with ministry policy.
• Ability to work well in a team environment to provide the best care possible.
• Ability to handle stressful situations in a calm manner.
• Maintain confidentiality of personnel and student matters.

Experience in a licensed childcare facility & CPR/First-Aid Certifications are a plus, but not required. We will provide training and pay for Certifications as needed.
