After-School Tutor

We are a small business located in Greer that specializes in 1:1 Tutoring, After-School, and Academic Summer Camps for the past 17 years. We are a friendly, cooperative, and professional team who love to serve and advocate for students in the Upstate.

This is a part-time on-site role for an After-School Tutor located in Greer, SC. The After-School Tutor will provide academic assistance to students in various subjects, assist with homework, and help students develop effective study habits and skills. The tutor will also develop personalized learning plans and foster a supportive and engaging learning environment for students after school hours. They will track student progress and communicate with parents or guardians to ensure academic goals are being met.

An ideal candidate could be a freshman/sophomore in college studying to be an educator or have previous experience in education/after-school.

• $12 per hour
• Shifts would be 3 pm - 6 pm (possibly until 8 pm on certain days, but it depends on availability).
• This role has the possibility to become the After-School Director with an hourly pay increase of $5.50 after a year of experience.

• Proficiency in subject areas such as Math, English, Science, or other academic disciplines relevant to tutoring (3rd - 8th grade levels)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues
• Patience, understanding, and the ability to inspire confidence in students
• Organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple students and schedules
• Experience working with children or adolescents in an educational setting is a plus
• High school diploma or equivalent;
  Bachelor’s degree or coursework in Education or related field is preferred
