Overview

Location:

Greenwood, SC – Onsite

Based in Greenwood, SC, this role offers the opportunity to perform various test procedures to determine the quality and uniformity of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products in compliance with company specifications, quality standards, and government regulations in support of the hard capsule business.

Responsibilities
  • Perform quality control testing on finished goods and raw materials.
  • Assure compliance with company standards and government regulations, as well as Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and Current Good Laboratory Practices (cGLPs).
  • Anticipate, identify, and troubleshoot potential problems involving the quality and analysis of raw materials and finished products.
  • Conduct and lead meetings and communications effectively.
  • Write and update Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Assist with internal and external regulatory and compliance audits.
  • The Senior Chemist provides backup for the Chemistry Supervisor.
  • Lead analytical laboratory investigations.
  • Ensure orderly testing flow for one business unit. (HEC/DFS/Ingredients)
  • Must be able to work 40 hours a week, which may include weekends, holidays, etc.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Laboratory Science, Chemistry or equivalent.
  • Strong proficiency with word processing, database and statistical computer software.
  • Strong and professional communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated proficiency with standard and advanced laboratory equipment.
