Overview

Utilizing the Nursing Process (Assessment, Planning, Nursing Diagnosis, Implementation and Evaluation) provides and documents professional nursing care to patients in accordance with the medical plan of care, critical pathways, established SRH and Nursing Policies and Standard Work. Coordinating and delegating care with/to other professionals and ancillary personnel, and communicating findings to appropriate person(s).

• Provide and document professional nursing care in accordance with the medical plan of care, critical pathways, SRH and Nursing Policies and Standard Work.
• Coordinate and delegate care with/to other professionals and ancillary personnel; communicate findings to appropriate person(s).
• Complete annual unit-specific responsibilities related to Code

• Perform other job-related duties as requested by Nurse Manager or Director.

• Obtain NRP certification within 1 year of hire.
• All labor nurses become ACLS-OB certified within 1 year of hire.
• Labor nurses complete annual fetal monitor training.
• Complete annual review of unit-specific Code A responsibilities.

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
• ADN degree.
• BLS certified.
• Must have or obtain NRP certification and become ACLS-OB certified within the first year of hire.
