Registered Nurse, Tower, Telemetry Night Shift

Overview

Utilizing the Nursing Process (Assessment, Planning, Nursing Diagnosis, Implementation and Evaluation) provides and documents professional nursing care to telemetry and stroke patients in accordance with the medical plan of care, critical pathways, established SRH and Nursing Policies and Standard Work. Coordinates and delegates the care with/to other professionals and ancillary personnel. Communicates findings as indicated to appropriate person(s). Must adhere to (meet) the requirements for educational hours as outlined in the NIAHO standards for Primary Stroke Center.

Performs any other job related duties as requested by Nurse Manager or Director.

• Coordinate and delegate the care with/to other professionals and ancillary personnel.
• Communicate findings to appropriate person(s).
• Provide and document professional nursing care to telemetry and stroke patients in accordance with the medical plan of care, critical pathways, SRH Nursing Policies and Standard Work.
• Adhere to educational hour requirements as outlined in the NIAHO standards for Primary Stroke Center.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned by the Nurse Manager or Director.

• Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in South Carolina.
• ADN degree.
• BLS certified.
• ACLS within 1 year.
• Basic and Advanced Arrhythmia within 1 year.
• NIHSS Certificate within 1 year.
• Complete arrhythmia course within 30 days of hire.
