The Special Procedures Tech performs assigned duties in providing patient care, assisting surgeons and PAs, setup and preparation of the Operating Room and equipment. Documents and communicates findings appropriately among Team Members and physicians. Performs any other job-related duties as requested by Department Manager or Director.

• Provide patient care in the operating room and assist surgeons and PAs as needed.
• Set up and prepare the Operating Room and equipment for procedures.

• Perform other job-related duties as requested by the Department Manager or Director.

• Must be a graduate of an accredited program for Surgical Technologist and hold certification administered by the NBSTSA or complete an appropriate military training program for surgical technology, or provide evidence of employment to practice surgical technology in a health care facility in SC prior to 1/1/2008, or be in the service of the federal government (to the extent performing duties related to that service).
• ACLS Certification within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification.
