Overview
Eaton’s ES AMER ARS PDCAD division is currently seeking a Powder coat – Technician I (2nd Shift).

Responsibilities- Loading and unloading material onto the powder coat line; operating the powder coat booth and applying powder to parts per customer specifications; inspecting work to verify conformance to customer and quality requirements; and maintaining high quality and production standards.
- Contributing to a safe, engaged, and inclusive work culture by complying with all policies, including proper use of personal protective equipment and operation of equipment, and performing 5S duties.
- Working from travel documents, blueprints, and oral or written instructions to load, unload, setup, and operate the powder coat line.
- Maintaining expected progress of jobs in the area of assignment and communicating concerns as appropriate.
- Proactively identifying opportunities for process improvement and completing root cause analysis in response to quality or production issues.
- Assuming responsibility for quality, including measuring finished parts with a tape measure and/or calipers, performing visual inspections, identifying nonconforming parts, and troubleshooting errors.
- Cross-training and standing in for other employees or job functions when necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.
- No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Greenwood, SC will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience reading blueprints, manufacturing diagrams or drawings, or operating instructions.
- Experience with measuring devices (e.g., tape measures and calipers).
- Experience with Eaton systems including DMM and AS400.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, persuasive skills, and analytical problem-solving abilities. Ability to work with individuals and groups to effectively participate within a team environment.
While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, reach at or above shoulder level, grip, and use hands to handle and feel. The employee is frequently required to walk, stoop, lift, carry, push, pull, and grip. The employee is repetitively required to lift/carry up to 50 pounds and may push/pull greater than 50 pounds.
Vision requirements include far and near vision with depth perception and color discrimination. The employee is regularly required to listen and talk.
The employee is regularly exposed to noise and frequently exposed to dust.
