Food and Nutrition Technician, Resource Pool

Overview

Food and Nutrition Technician, Resource Pool. This role supports Food and Nutrition Services across areas and requires cross-training in each area, with a thorough understanding of each position’s processes. Responsibilities are to perform duties professionally, accurately, and in a timely manner, and to offer exceptional customer service. The position requires knowledge of food handling and sanitation per Food & Nutrition policies and procedures, basic understanding of cash handling policies and procedures, and adherence to all related regulations.

• Complete assigned duties/tasks professionally, accurately and as timely as possible.
• Service all customers with exceptional customer service skills.
• Clean and sanitize according to policy.
• Multi-task and maintain a fast, consistent pace.
• Record food service and DHEC reports, records, and logs related to Food and Nutrition.
• Uphold DHEC/DNV regulations regarding food safety, facility upkeep, cleaning, and sanitation.
• Maintain proper personal and hand hygiene at all times.
• Relay identified problems to Supervisor, Coordinator, Specialist, or Management as soon as possible.
• Remain flexible with schedule days and times.
• Complete any other duties as assigned by Supervisor, Coordinator, Specialist, or Management.

• Must be willing to cross-train in each area of Food and Nutrition Services and have a thorough understanding of each position’s processes.
• Thorough knowledge and understanding of food handling and sanitation requirements per Food & Nutrition policies and procedures.
• Basic understanding of cash register/cash handling policies and procedures.
• Ability to multi-task and work at a fast consistent pace.
• Experience with recording food service and DHEC reports/logs as related to Food and Nutrition.
• Upholds all DHEC/DNV regulation in regard to food safety, facility upkeep, cleaning and sanitation.
• Maintains proper personal and hand hygiene practices.
• Flexibility with schedule days and times.
• Team-oriented with ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and management.
