Continuing Education EMT Instructor

Job Responsibilities

• Deliver the current EMT curriculum accurately and in alignment with state and national standards.
• Prepare course materials and conduct lecture and lab instruction using a variety of delivery methods.
• Maintain student records and meet all reporting deadlines required by program governing bodies.
• Provide continuous communication with students, faculty, and staff.
• Participate in practical testing for all EMS certification levels.
• Maintain current provider certification and instructor credentials.

• Current SC DHEC and NREMT certified Paramedic with at least two years of field experience.
• Certified CPR instructor (AHA or ASHI) with a minimum of one year of teaching experience.
• Successful completion and documentation of a 40‑hour Instructor Methodology course equivalent and DHEC EMT Instructor Orientation.

• Associate degree or higher, or greater than two years of experience in the field.
• Greater than one year of teaching experience in BLS, EMR, ACLS, or PALS.
