Burton Center is hiring a motivated individual for the role of Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional (QIDP) in Greenwood, SC. This is a full-time position with Monday – Friday 8 a.m.–5 p.m., plus on‑call hours.

As a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional, you will manage the operations of two Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF). Your responsibilities include developing, supervising, and implementing each individual's Active Treatment Plan (ATP) to ensure they receive intensive and effective training. You will ensure that each facility and its staff follow the guidelines and procedures set by the Office of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (OIDP) and Burton Center to meet residents’ health and safety needs.
Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Supervise and monitor operations in each ICF by maintaining records, monitoring client and house progress monthly, managing purchasing and inventory for efficient budgeting, and reviewing staff log entries and other data to ensure follow‑up.
- Develop, implement, and monitor training programs and behavior support plans; schedule and conduct team meetings with staff; distribute updated written plans; ensure progress reports are recorded at least monthly.
- Ensure thorough in‑service training is provided to staff and supervise, evaluate, and train direct care staff on dignity and privacy.
- Advocate for residents by pursuing appropriate program levels based on their needs and care team recommendations.
- Document residents’ personal property monthly and arrange appointments for haircuts, clothing, and other personal items.
- Respond to facility emergencies, keep annual inspections and safety protocols up to date and complete them in a timely manner.
- Ensure daily activities are carried out, minimum coverage is met, and transport residents and administer medications as needed.
- Coordinate nursing staff schedules and develop nursing services; consult with the Director of Nursing as needed.
- Work well with staff, residents, coordinators, and nurses; communicate effectively and maintain a positive professional outlook.
- Bachelor's Degree in the Human Services field.
- One year of experience working with individuals with disabilities and special needs.
- Certified as a Qualified Intellectual Disability Professional.
- Valid South Carolina Driver's License.
- Computer skills.
- Knowledge of programming for adults with special needs or disabilities.
- Management or coordinating experience.
- Clear oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to care and advocate for others.
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods.
Salary: $18.50 per hour.
