Your Responsibilities:
  • Residential Care:
    Provides direct resident care. Participates in care plan meetings to ensure consistency in care of residents. Ensures physician orders are communicated and followed by employees. Communicates resident changes to Unit Nurse Manager or DON. Effectively communicates with therapy, social services, dietician, etc. on resident’s condition as it pertains to their role in the care of the residents. Makes daily rounds at least two times daily to observe resident care and needs.
  • Training and

    Coaching:

    Trains and coaches’ employees on programming and guidelines for the unit. Monitors employee assignments to ensure completion of all tasks. Offers suggestions to employees to improve performance. Assists with in‑services and offers suggestions to leadership when identify gaps in training and learning. Escalates performance issues to Unit Nurse Manager and/or DON.
  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Ensures employees are following all quality control, infection control, and medication policies and procedures. Monitors resident medical record for completeness of information and participates in audits. Ensures equipment is functioning appropriately and reports repairs/hazards immediately to the appropriate person/department.
  • Relationship Building:
    Meets and communicates with residents and/or resident families when needed, addresses concerns related to satisfaction around care. Builds strong working relationships with unit employees and promotes teamwork.
  • Culture Ambassador:
    Exhibits behaviors that support the hospitality promises and a positive work environment. Promotes and adheres to resident’s rights and elder care. Shows respect and dignity in all interactions with residents, resident families, and employees.
  • Performs specific work duties and responsibilities as assigned by leader.
  • Completes in‑service training and education programs as assigned.
  • Ability to support a 24/7 operation and be available after normal working hours.

  • QMA, LPN, or RN license from accredited or state approved school of nursing preferred.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Previous leadership experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience in long term care with progression of job responsibilities.
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulations for senior living.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, EMR software, and/or related software.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent customer service skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. Able to demonstrate sound judgement and decision‑making skills.
  • Able to demonstrate sound judgement with confidentiality of information.
