Responsibilities

Valle Vista Health System is a 132‑bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in Greenwood, IN. It offers individual units for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, and provides inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 10,000 patients receive care each year. Valle Vista is a teaching facility that supports local nursing students through a dedicated and tenured nursing team.

This is a temporary nursing position for a 13‑week duration. The Registered Nurse (RN) consults and coordinates with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans. The RN provides information on disease processes, medications, and ongoing care to our patient population. The position is also responsible for monitoring, recording, and reporting symptoms or changes in a patient’s condition.

The RN works with the treatment team to provide a consistently therapeutic milieu.

NOTE: Candidates employed by any UHS facility within the last 6 months are not eligible.

7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.

13‑week duration. Full‑time status – must work 3 to 12‑hour shifts per week to be eligible. Benefits are not available for this position.

$55.00 per hour (overtime hours available).

Job Requirements:

• Current license to practice nursing in the State of Indiana (or eligible to receive or renew).
• Current CPR or BLS certification.
• Must have 1 year or more experience in a psychiatric hospital setting.
