About the RoleWe are seeking a strategic and dynamic Plant Manager to lead day‑to‑day operations of the Greenwood facility. The role oversees Operations, Manufacturing Engineering, Controls, Information Technology, Maintenance, Materials, Quality, Human Resources, and Health & Safety departments. An innovative, data‑driven leader with a passion for learning and teaching will foster a culture of continuous improvement and growth.
What You’ll Do- Strategic Oversight:
Clearly communicate plant and company goals, leading management meetings, corrective actions, operations reviews, and promoting a culture of continual improvement. - Business Management:
Execute business plan objectives, achieve monthly P & L targets, and review risk and opportunity analysis with executive leadership. - Team Leadership & Development:
Sustain high employee satisfaction, hold departments accountable for performance objectives, and provide coaching and counseling as needed. - Problem Solving & Reporting:
Ensure successful launch of engineering changes, model changeovers, and new programs while complying with company policies. - Customer, Supplier & Executive Relationships:
Maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, ensuring customer requirements for volume, quality, and delivery are met. - Safety & Other Duties:
Foster a safety‑first environment, meet safety goals, prepare for catastrophic failures per the Disaster Recovery Process, and secure premises from unauthorized personnel.
- Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing or management discipline, or equivalent work and education.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in automotive manufacturing or materials environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for all business levels.
- Extensive experience in Materials Management and Operations.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills, able to delegate and work well under pressure.
- Problem‑solving skills and proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Normal amount of sitting and standing, average mobility to move around office and plant, able to perform normal computer work.
- Up to 15% travel required; valid driver’s license required.
