PositionSummary
The Mental Health Technician functions as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in ages from adolescent through geriatrics. All MHTs work under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

- High School diploma or equivalent. Must be 21 and over.
- Certified Nursing Assistant.
- Degree from an accredited college or university in social work, recreational therapy, or appropriate therapeutic discipline highly desirable.
- Minimum one (1) year(s) of related patient care experience.
- Previous experience and knowledge of psychiatric patient care techniques with understanding of mental illness.
- Variety of shifts available. May be required to work overtime and flexible hours. Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Must be able to attend a mandatory 2 week orientation training class to be eligible.
