Lead Intake Coordinator – Valle Vista Health System (UHS Facility)
Job OverviewValle Vista Health System is a 132‑bed, acute‑care psychiatric hospital located in Greenwood, Indiana. It serves over 10,000 patients annually, offering inpatient and outpatient behavioral health services, and functions as a teaching facility supporting nursing students and behavioral health professionals.
The Lead Intake Coordinator will serve as the access center manager and intake clinician, performing initial evaluations, coordinating patient flow, maintaining bed boards and census data, monitoring referrals, and ensuring intake operations run efficiently. The position requires strong clinical expertise, leadership, and coordination skills.
Responsibilities- Perform initial patient evaluations as an intake clinician.
- Coordinate patient flow within the facility and update bed boards.
- Maintain accurate census records.
- Monitor direct referrals and ensure timely placement.
- Oversee daily intake operations and provide supervision when required.
- Adhere to mental health program standards and facility policies.
- Master’s degree in social work, counseling, mental health or related field, or Registered Nurse qualification.
- Licensed in the respective field (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Previous experience in a mental health setting preferred.
- Strong organizational and clinical assessment skills.

Salary range: $71,100 – $97,800 per year.
