We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our production team and provide support to our employees, clients, and vendors. This role is for experienced machinists who have demonstrated advanced skills and are ready to take on more complex and leadership-oriented tasks.
Essential Functions- Advanced Setup and Operation
:
Set up, operate, and program CNC machines for complex and precision tasks. - Blueprint Interpretation
:
Read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. - Quality Control
:
Perform advanced inspections and quality control checks to ensure parts meet specifications. - Troubleshooting
:
Diagnose and resolve issues with CNC machinery and processes. - Training and Mentorship
:
Provide guidance and training to junior machinists and trainees. - Process Improvement
:
Identify and implement improvements in machining processes to enhance efficiency and quality. - Maintenance
:
Conduct routine and advanced maintenance on CNC machines to ensure optimal performance.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is preferred.
- Several years of experience in CNC machining, with a proven track record of handling complex tasks and responsibilities.
- Technical Expertise
:
In-depth knowledge of CNC machinery, programming, and tooling. - Attention to Detail
:
High level of precision and accuracy in all machining tasks. - Problem-Solving
:
Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex machining issues. - Leadership
:
Ability to mentor and train junior team members. - Communication
:
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and supervisors. - Physical Stamina
:
Ability to stand for long periods and handle materials safely.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods and move around the manufacturing floor.
- Proficient in handling and operating CNC equipment and other inspection tools.
- Have good vision to inspect parts and read detailed blueprints and specifications.
- Production shop floor and desk work in an office setting.
- Attendance/Punctuality - Is consistently at work and on time.
- Dependability - Follows instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; keeps commitments; commits to overtime when necessary to reach goals; completes tasks on time.
- Safety and Security - Observes safety and security procedures; determines appropriate action beyond guidelines; reports potentially unsafe conditions; uses equipment and materials properly.
- Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities; exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views; gives and welcomes feedback; contributes to building a positive team spirit;
Puts success of team above own interests.
In accordance with applicable pay transparency laws, the salary payrate for this position is
$68k-$85k. This payrate is provided to ensure transparency and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
