Database Architect

We are seeking a Senior Database Architect to support a major data migration initiative and help build a strong, scalable data infrastructure. This role is essential to centralizing operations across geographies and this person will bring critical technical expertise needed to support upcoming strategic initiatives. The initial focus of this position will be migrating data from a previous Snowflake environment into a new platform in the first half of 2026.

This includes rebuilding core data structures, re-establishing data connections, and developing new ETL pipelines. Beyond the migration, the role will continue to shape our data architecture and serve as a technical leader within the team. This position does not include direct reports but does require leadership experience, mentorship capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical teams and organizational leadership.

• Lead and execute data migration activities into the new environment.
• Recreate and validate data connections across systems.
• Rebuild tables and data structures to support business needs.
• Design, develop, and optimize ETL pipelines.
• Serve as a liaison between technical teams and leadership to ensure alignment on data strategy and priorities.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to other team members.
• Contribute to long‑term data architecture planning and implementation.
• Support the development of scalable data infrastructure to enable major initiatives

• 7‑10+ years of experience in a data engineering, data architecture, or related technical role.
• At least 3 years of experience leading or managing technical teams (formal or informal leadership accepted).
• Advanced SQL expertise, including complex joins and daily hands‑on query development.
• Strong Python scripting experience.
• Experience with data processing frameworks.
• Proficiency with ETL tools (e.g., Apache tools, PySpark, AWS Glue; specific tools not required).
• Experience with data warehousing and data lake environments.
• Familiarity with platforms such as Snowflake, Redshift, or similar technologies.
• Experience using Git Hub or Git Lab for project management and version control.
• Exposure to data visualization tools and concepts.
